You’re warmly invited to take part in a local pilgrimage to mark this Jubilee Year. A pilgrim walk can be a very prayerful experience. Our Pilgrimage to Valery’s Cross (Fassaroe Cross) and back, will allow you to step outside their daily routine and enter a space where you can reflect on the nearness of God.
We will have several stops along the way. We will learn a little about our surroundings and we will pray. Each place has a sense of the sacred if we look for it and it offers us a chance to pause, reflect, and feel a connection to nature and to God.
We will assemble at 12.30pm on Sunday 29th June 2025 at St. Peter’s Parish Centre. There we can enjoy a cuppa and a sandwich and other light refreshments to prepare us for the pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage will eventually bring us back to the garden behind Holy Redeemer Church around 3pm.
While we plan to gather in the garden, If the weather is inclement, we will meet in the Little Flower Hall. We invite those who come from different nations and who are part of our Church community to share with us their favourite home-cooked finger food. We plan to have music, song and a lovely time together!
