The Living Room

A place to pray, reflect, connect and belong

The Living Room is a special ecumenical collaboration between St. Patrick’s Church, Powerscourt, and St. Mary’s Parish, Enniskerry. For
a number of years, we have been gathering on the first Wednesday of each month at 11 a.m., meeting in one or other of our churches.

Our monthly gatherings offer a different and refreshing way to pray. Through an informal and creative approach to God’s Word, we explore how faith connects with the realities of our everyday lives and the world around us.

Those who attend regularly tell us how much these gatherings mean to them. The Living Room has become much more than a time of prayer and reflection; it is a warm, welcoming space where friendships have grown, support is shared, and a real sense of community has developed.

An important part of our gathering is the opportunity to enjoy a cup of tea or coffee together afterwards. This relaxed social time allows friendships to deepen, conversations to continue and new connections to flourish in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

We are now hoping to expand this initiative and invite other churches to become part of this enriching ecumenical journey. We believe there is great value in coming together across Christian traditions to listen, reflect, pray and support one another in faith and in life.

Would your church like to join us?
We would love to hear from you and explore how we might grow this initiative together.
