Lectio Divina – what is it? It is the

prayerful reading of scripture, taking time

to absorb and understand the Word of

God more deeply. It is a journey into the

Word of God and helps us to see how it

relates to our everyday lives and how

God might be speaking to us personally.

We will be running a group during

Advent on Thursday evenings in St.

Mary’s Church where we will read the

upcoming Sunday scriptures together and

gently explore what they might mean.

The group will run for about an hour

from 7.30pm-8.30pm and include a cup

of tea or coffee. The starting date is
