As part of our commitment to Laudato Si’ and the Care of Our Common Home, we would like to support Edible Bray in their wonderful initiatives.

A new community project called The Butterfly Effect is being launched next week and you are invited to drop by Eglinton Road Library between 1-2 pm on Wednesday 20th May and 7-8pm on Thursday 21st May.

They will be giving free, specially selected seeds of flowers that attract butterflies and we are asked to plant them in the pots and compost provided.

We will be asked to take home these pots and look after them until they germinate a few weeks later. When the plants are ready we will be called to plant the flowers in 6 Edible Bray sites and any left-over can be planted in people’s own gardens.

We encourage as many as possible to take part and we look forward to welcoming many, many more butterflies!
