Laudato Si’ Week takes place from May 17–24, 2026).
This is an annual global Catholic celebration marking the anniversary of Pope Francis’s 2015 encyclical, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home.
It brings together millions of Catholics to reflect, pray, and take concrete action on ecological conversion and integral ecology, focusing on protecting the planet and aiding the vulnerable.
The purpose is to celebrate the progress made in ecological conversion and to encourage further action in response to the “cry of the earth and the cry of the poor”.
The theme for 2026 is “From Hope to Action,” emphasizing practical steps for environmental care in daily life, community, and institutions.
We are called to help heal and protect God’s gift of the earth, on which we depend for life.
At St. Valerie’s Bray Enniskerry Partnership we are pledging to play our part in this movement.
